If you’re crossing the Border at Buffalo (Fort Erie) follow the QEW towards Toronto. If crossing from Grand Island (Queenston) follow Hwy. 405 ’til it joins the QEW. Take the QEW towards Toronto. A mile or so past the Burlington Skyway (part of the QEW near Hamilton), you will have the option to take the 407 Toll Highway or continue on the QEW towards Toronto.

Make sure you do not take HWY 403 west to Hamilton.

If you choose the 407, it will take you to Hwy 400 north to Barrie (about 70kms or 45 miles). If you choose to stay on the QEW you will travel several miles to Oakville and take the 403 north to Toronto turnoff at the Ford Motor Plant. A short distance along the 403, you have the option of Hwy. 407 again, or you can continue on the 403 to Hwy. 401 east and after a few miles to Hwy. 400.

If you’re coming from Detroit/ Windsor take the 401 East to Toronto, and from Port Huron/Sarnia take the 402 which joins the 401 at London Continue on the 401 east towards Toronto, then follow directions as above.

Once on the 400, follow north past Barrie and follow directions towards Parry Sound and Sudbury.

When you pass Bass Pro on the 400 north you are about 3hrs to Pickerel River Trailer Park, take Settlers Road exit – at stop sign, turn right onto Pickerel River Road.

There are a number of gas stations along the rest of the route, a few coffee shops and small restaurants.

NOTE: There is a gas station on Pickerel River Road 1km from the main highway.
